This course is designed to provide experienced customers and partners with the the technical skills to utilize the Nozomi Networks platform to provide security analysis and operations in a Security Operations Center (SOC). The hands-on scenarios are designed to help you use the Nozomi Networks solution to triage alerts and effectively report on events occurring within the environment being monitored. Instructional content and hands-on labs will introduce learners to concepts including network security, threat intelligence, risk and vulnerability assessment. The course builds upon the foundational knowledge gained in the required prerequisite NNCE course.

Upon Completion of this NNSA course, you will be able to:

  • Perform a deep dive into nodes, links, sessions, process variables and functions data collection
  • Effectively use Nozomi Networks Query for anomaly detection, data exploration and aggregation
  • Utilize the analysis tools to gather context around anomalies including Queries, Sandbox and Quarantined files, Yara Rules, Packet-Rule and STIX
  • Describe MITRE and its application in the Nozomi Networks solution
  • Explain Alert Prioritization basics based on risk standards and conventional frameworks e.g. NIST CSF & RMF, IEC 62443 & ISO 2700#
  • Explain key indicators, and other enhancements
  • Explain Stage 1 and 2 Kill Chain
  • Explain why critical thinking is important to the alert triage process
  • Demonstrate understanding of Dashboards and Reports for situational awareness
  • Describe the use of Nozomi Networks Data Integration features for SIEM applications
